Half Guard Escape #1

Half Guard Escape #1 is used when you are on top half guard. Flatting your opponent out while driving out of half guard will help maintain control. Lifting your hips up and “jack hammering” will allow their legs slip down below your knee so you can turn your hip and drive your knee down to the ground. Use your other foot to push their knee to get your foot out if it gets caught as you escape.
